Management Team

Meet our management team, who brings a wealth of experience in the restorative dental industry, as well as in the areas of sales, customer service, and regulatory affairs. LLC Management Team.
President & CEO

Gordon has over twenty years of professional business development, sales, marketing and corporate communications experience. He currently is the President & CEO of Sterngold Dental, LLC. Prior to this he was Vice President & General Manager at Sterngold Dental LLC. He previously held the position as Director of Marketing & E-Business and managed all of the marketing activities and operations for the Precious Metals Division of Cookson Group. Gordon was also the Director of Marketing & E-Commerce for Sterngold Dental, a subsidiary of Cookson Precious Metals. During his time at Sterngold he successfully launched a fully-integrated e-business platform for the company.

Earlier in his career, Gordon was a Marketing Analyst for Neptco, Inc., a manufacturer of wire and cable products. He also was the Corporate Communications and Public Relations Manager for Cookson America, Inc. located in Providence, Rhode Island.

Gordon holds a MBA from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications and Marketing from Roger Williams University (Bristol, RI).

Gordon has been married to his wife Kristen for 19 years, they have three children together and reside in Tiverton, RI.

Christopher L. Franklin CPA MST
Chief Financial Officer

Christopher has more than twenty-five years of Public Accounting and Industry experience. In his current role as Chief Financial Officer at Sterngold Dental LLC he brings his extensive experience in the areas of financial management and analysis, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, process analysis and improvement. Chris is also a certified public accountant with a master’s degree in taxation. In addition to his public accounting experience, Chris has served as CFO for several Companies in a variety of industries where he has managed staffs of finance, human resources and IT professionals.

Chris has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island, a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Bryant University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Rhode Island Society of CPAs.

Diane C. Tiernan
Director of QA and Regulatory

Diane C. Tiernan has over 30 years of experience in medical device regulatory affairs. Tiernan currently serves as Director of QA and Regulatory.

Tiernan previously served as a regulatory consultant to the medical device and combination product industries, at DCT Ltd. Her role at DCT Ltd. includes providing regulatory guidance to clients with products in any phase of product development, including preparing and filing regulatory submissions and acting as a liaison between the client organization and regulatory authorities. Before starting DCT Ltd., Tiernan was the regulatory affairs manager at Covidien BioSurgery (now Medtronic), a medical device company based previously in Waltham, MA. Her responsibilities included developing regulatory strategies and providing post-market in support of global marketing and sales activities for surgical sealant products.

Before joining Covidien BioSurgery, Tiernan was Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs at Alkermes, Cambridge, MA, a biotechnology company focused on inhaled and injectable drug-delivery products. Prior to Alkermes, she held regulatory affairs positions with Bio-Reg Associates (Beltsville, MD), Synthes Spine (Paoli, PA), MedChem Products Inc. (now Anika Therapeutics) (Woburn, MA), CR Bard (Billerica, MA), and Symbion Inc. (Salt Lake City, UT). In those positions, she oversaw U.S. and European device regulatory filings, liaised with regulatory agencies, and monitored clinical trials.

Tiernan began her career as a certified audiologist, working extensively with cochlear implants. She received her BA in speech pathology from the University of Connecticut and her MS in audiology from Ithaca College. She is a member of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS), and former chair of the Boston chapter of RAPS. She was a member of MD&DI’s Editorial Advisory Board and served as an adjunct professor at Northeastern University’s Graduate Regulatory Affairs Program in the College of Professional Studies, Boston, MA. Diane served on the Board of Casa Myrna Vasquez, a domestic violence non-profit organization based in Boston, MA until recently and is a member of the Boston chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.

Dulcina Jorge

Director of Inside Sales and Customer Service

Dulcina has been at Sterngold Dental for over 21 years. She began her career at Sterngold as Coordinator of International Sales. She has managed all sales and marketing efforts for existing distributors as well as established new business development programs for all international markets. This included organizing every aspect of continuous product training, lectures and clinical programs, as well as inventory management for international markets.

Due to her vast product knowledge, more notably in the dental implant and restorative components product line, Dulcina took on the role of Director of Materials Management and Inventory Control in 2006. Within her first six months of involvement, the inventory of goods sold was reduced by $450K.

In 2014, Dulcina took over as Director of Operations. She was responsible for the Manufacturing, Shipping/Receiving, Picking, and Packaging Departments including monitoring and continually improving standards of performance and quality within these areas.

As Sterngold’s focus in the dental implant became more prominent, Dulcina once again went back to her roots as Director of Inside Sales and Customer Service. She has been in this role since August 2016. Her dedication to the company and team of employees is visible in all aspects of her current position as well as all previous positions.

Dulcina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is fluent in Portuguese and conversational Spanish. In her spare time, she volunteers at her church, enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, reading and travelling to Maine. She resides in Attleboro, Massachusetts with her husband and two young daughters.

Robert E. Vasile
Director of Technical and Educational Services

Bob started in the laboratory business at an early age, working with his father. In 1985 Bob opened his own laboratory specializing in crown and bridge work and became certified as an Implantology lab. He is a co-developer and holder of 2 US patents.

Bob believed that the industry was changing rapidly and that CAD/CAM technology would be the future of dental restorations. In 2005 he joined Atlantis (Astra, now Dentsply) to pursue this technology.

To further his digital dentistry education, he moved his family to NC to work for Sirona as the Infident Lab Manager. He also started teaching, lecturing, and troubleshooting.

Next Bob joined Bicon LLC as the Manager of CAD/CAM and Laboratory Services. He helped bring digital workflow to the Clinical and Laboratory side of the business and helped with the development of TRINIA. He continued to teach, lecture and hosted webinars for the USA, South America, and Europe.

Bob’s current position is Director of Technical and Educational Services for Sterngold.
